The Myth of the Cross marks a noble inventive attempt by Alhaj A.D Ajijola to explore the fundamental doctrines of Christianity for bringing about a more genuine and credible understanding of Christianity. The author makes use of the basic guiding book of Christians, the Bible to expose the Myths of Trinity. Divine-sonship of Jesus Christ, the Divinity of Jesus etc. He ridicules the attempt made by modern Christians to derive inspiration and guidance not from the Holy Bible from the preaching and interpretations of later day scholars and missionaries. While debunking the dogmas of original sin, the vicarious sacrifice and the Atonement, Ajijola seeks to establish the superiority of Islam with its message of simple unity of God, the Almighty, All knowing over Christianity. Having studied in Christian educational institutions, the author tries to expose the back door Proselyzation activities of the schools which force pupils, including non-Christians to attend Chapel etc. Last one consider it a diatribe against Christianity, Ajijola, instead makes a humble effort to promote greater understanding between the followers of Islam and Christianity by removing some of the blinkers clouding a persons vision of true Christianity, which has its origin in the Bible and not any far fetched argument of later day scholars, however eminent.
